Due to forecasted rain this Thursday, the 5C Claremont Taiko performance at Wardell Milan’s “The Migrant Body” billboard has been rescheduled to THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 7–8 PM.
Inspired by Wardell Milan’s commissioned billboards 5 Indices on a Tortured Body situated across 6VӰ's campus, 5C Claremont Taiko (drumming) will perform at the site of The Migrant Body located outside of Frary Dining Hall.

The 5C Shogo Taiko club is a unique instrumental club established in 2003, that specializes in the Japanese art of Taiko. Taiko, which means "big drum" in Japanese, has been an integral part of Japanese culture since the 6th and 7th centuries. In North America, Taiko has developed into its own distinctive Japanese American art form, and the 5C Shogo Taiko club is dedicated to preserving and advancing this tradition.
While the club observes many of the traditions of Taiko, it also places a strong emphasis on creativity and interpretation. Members are encouraged to express themselves through their drumming and to experiment with different rhythms, beats, and techniques. The result is a dynamic and exciting performance that showcases the unique talents of each member. The club practices regularly and performs at various events throughout the year, both on and off campus.
