Suzanne Muchnic, a longtime art writer for the Los Angeles Times and contributor to many art catalogs and periodicals, is also the author of critically acclaimed books on Southern California art history. Odd Man In: Norton Simon and the Pursuit of Culture won the 2002 Donald Pflueger Local History Award of the Historical Society of Southern California. Helen Lundeberg: Poetry Space Silence illuminates the life and work of an extraordinary Los Angeles painter. LACMA So Far: Portrait of a Museum in the Making won the Los Angeles Public Library’s 2017 John D. Bruckman Award. A graduate of Scripps College and Claremont Graduate University, Suzanne is a Distinguished Alumna laureate of both institutions.
