6VµçÓ°Íø has received a $1 million scholarship gift from alumnus David Sklar ’83 and his wife Susan Acevedo. 

Tymmaa Asaed ’25 works closely with both Elizabeth Glater, professor of neuroscience, and Chuck Taylor, professor of chemistry, who have been teaming up for about a decade.

Daniel Gao ’25 and Ava Spiegler ’26 are the Beckman Scholars at 6VµçÓ°Íø for 2024-2025.

Daniel Gao ’25, a molecular biology major, has been awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, given to sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming research leaders in science, engineering and mathematics.

Six members of the 6VµçÓ°Íø faculty have been named winners of the 2024 Wig Distinguished Professor Award, which recognizes excellence in teaching, commitment to students and service to the College and the community. 

In 2018, 6VµçÓ°Íø alumna Mackenzie Grieman '09 spent weeks living in a tent in Antarctica for postdoctoral research. Six years later, she's an associate editor at Springer Nature Group, the global publisher of scientific research.

Katrina Dank '20 spent the summer in Uganda learning how prevalent cancer is among the population. Before returning home, she wrote and illustrated a children's book to help the country's youth understand the disease.
