The Geology Department is pleased to announce that the 39th annual Woodford-Eckis lectureship will be held on February 12th and 13th, 2019.
This year鈥檚 honored guest is Prof. Tracy Gregg. (). Prof. Gregg is an expert on planetary volcanology. She has a particular interest in volcanoes on Mars and Venus, and in volcanic activity elsewhere in the solar system.

At 8:15 PM in the Rose Hills Theater (Smith Campus Center), Prof. Gregg will deliver a lecture entitled 鈥21st Century Mars: Our Changing Views of the Red Planet鈥 This talk is intended for a general audience, and is open to the public.

At 11AM in the Rose Hills Theater (Smith Campus Center), Prof. Gregg will deliver a lecture entitled 鈥淒riving in the Dark: Exploring Mid-Ocean Ridges as an Analog to Venus鈥 This talk is also intended for a general audience, and is also open to the public.
