Tell us something special about your hometown
My hometown is Osaka, the second largest city in Japan. Osaka was called the 鈥淭enka no daidokoro鈥 because it used to be the center of agricultural trade and combined with a thriving economy. My home is located near the longest shopping street in Japan. It is very famous for delicious local Osaka cuisine, such as Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki. Also, I live next to a shrine and every year it holds a summer festival. This festival is the third biggest one in Japan.
Tell us about a favorite activity that you pursue when you have free time?
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and running. Also, I love the ocean, I go swimming and recently I got my diver鈥檚 license. Plus, I like to watch animations, dramas and movies during my free time.
Tell us what you would like to see in California or in the U.S. during your time at the College.
This is my first time to visit California but my second time to visit The U.S. There are so many places that I would love to visit since I enjoy traveling. I am interested in nature so I would like to go to some national parks, especially Yosemite National Park and the Grand Canyon. California is the home of American entertainment so I would also like to visit Hollywood and Disneyland.
