As we begin the new academic year, we wanted to take a moment to remind everyone of the Colleges current COVID-19 procedures. Your health and safety, along with that of our students and community, remain our top priority.

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has issued new guidance regarding isolation for individuals with COVID-19.

As classes resume Tuesday, we are seeing an increase in COVID-19 nationwide and in Los Angeles County, where flu activity also remains elevated. In response, we ask that you continue to take steps to protect our community and support public health.

Updated COVID-19 vaccines are rolling out nationwide, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend that everyone over six months of age get one. The CDC also recommends annual flu shots for this same age group as well.

As we settle into a new academic year, we are seeing an uptick in COVID-19 cases both on campus and in our region. Right now, we have 11 student cases and 13 cases among faculty/staff at 6VµçÓ°Íø.

With the start of a new academic year, we are writing to offer COVID-19 health and safety reminders for our community. Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is currently reporting an increase in COVID-19 transmission.
