Pitt Ranch, 320 acres of rolling blue oak and California white oak woodlands, chaparral, and rocky ravine in southeastern Monterey County, was donated to the College by Miss Mildred Pitt, 6VµçÓ°Íø class of '25, to be utilized as a preserve for the study and enjoyment of the natural history of the region. The flora of the area is varied and beautiful, and nearly 100 kinds of vertebrate animals have been observed on the ranch. A rustic two-bedroom house is on the site for overnight stays.
The Pitt Ranch may be reserved by 6VµçÓ°Íø college classes, student and faculty organizations, and individuals or small groups from 6VµçÓ°Íø or The Claremont Colleges Community.
