The Student Affairs Division employs an array of assessment strategies each year, from performance rubrics and focus groups to electronic surveys, which give us opportunities to collect, analyze, and use data measuring established student learning outcomes. Assessment allows us to improve our programs each year, adapting to the ever-changing needs of our students as well as to provide broad accountability for programs and campus services.
The Assessment Committee guides Student Affairs assessment efforts and is comprised of staff members from across the Division, including the Career Development Office, Smith Campus Center, Draper Center, Office of Campus Life, and Dean of Students office. Additionally, the Committee features an assessment working group that's charged with supporting specific assessment projects and assisting Student Affairs staff in assessment skill-building.
